Non-Solicitation Policy
To avoid disruption of business operations or
disturbance of staff, visitors, and public, The No Vet
Left Behind, Inc.,
is a registered 501(C)
(3)
organization and all donations are tax exempt to the
extent of applicable law,
has implemented this Non-solicitation Policy (the
“Non-solicitation policy”). For purposes of the
Non-solicitation Policy, “Solicitation” (or
“Soliciting”) shall include, requesting contributions,
and posting or distributing handbills, pamphlets,
petitions, and the like of any kind (“Materials”) on
mail, e-mail and telecommunication systems,
photocopiers, faxes and telephone lists and databases).
“Commercial Solicitation” means peddling or otherwise
selling, purchasing or offering goods and services for
sale or purchase, distributing advertising materials,
circulars or product samples, or engaging in any other
conduct relating to any outside business interests or
for profit or personal economic benefit. Solicitation
and Commercial Solicitation performed through verbal,
written, or electronic means, are covered by the
Nonsolicitation Policy. Items to be distributed or
offered for sale, which contain The No Vet Left Behind,
Inc. trademark, names (including building names) or
design elements (T-shirts, posters, etc.), must be
approved by The No Vet Left Behind, Inc.
The No Vet Left Behind, Inc. recognizes the value of
charitable organizations and encourages to be active
participants in organizations that support or contribute
to the mission of The No Vet Left Behind, Inc.
With the exception of The No Vet Left Behind,
Inc. authorized charitable giving campaigns, any
charitable organization that wishes to solicit funds for
a charitable donation must be sponsored by a recognized
organization, and obtain the approval of The No Vet Left
Behind, Inc., which will coordinate donation. The
organization will be provided with a stamp or
certification of approval. Arrangements should be made
through, and inquiries regarding the Non-solicitation
Policy should be directed to, The No Vet Left Behind,
Inc. In addition, any Solicitation or Commercial
Solicitation by a charitable organization at any event,
the prior approval of The No Vet Left Behind Inc., and
must be conducted in compliance with the Solicitation
Act Policy.
The
Solicitation of Charitable Funds Act, Conn. Gen. Stat.
§21a-175 et seq., regulates fundraising in Connecticut.
Unless exempted from registration under the statute, a
charitable organization must register with the
Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection (DCP) and
file annual reports to be allowed to solicit charitable
contributions in the state.
